Sustainability

Let’s lead the way to a sustainable future !

A Call to
Climate Action

Amid the pressing challenges of climate change, industries, with textiles at the forefront, must make the leap towards sustainability. Embracing global initiatives such as the ambitious Paris Agreement (COP21), which strives to curb global warming to below 2°C, and the 2021 COP26 commitments to accelerate climate action, including the adoption of sustainable energy sources and emissions reduction in sectors like textiles, the transformation has begun.

Fabric Eco System ──
P&E’s Sustainability Plan

We stands will reshaping the textile industry from raw material sourcing to those finishing touches, making sustainability the new standard.

1

Raw Material
Substitution

A polyester T-Shirt emits 5.5kg CO2e, while a cotton T-shirt emits 2.1kg CO2e. Therefore, choosing proper material will be an essential step.

GOAL FOR 2030

To mitigate its contribution to GHG emissions, the textile industry needs a significant shift from its current trajectory.

GOAL FOR 2030

Transition from traditional water-intensive dyeing methods to the ‘solution dye’ process by 30%, and replacing traditional dying vat to air-jet dying vat.

Sustainable Aesthetics

Prioritize designs that are not only durable and timeless but also recyclable or bio-degradable. Combined with our bespoke service, P&E embraces the philosophy of “Design for Sustainability,” ensuring products have an extended lifecycle and are created with the least environmental impact.

Current Practices:
Major shift towards natural gas and solar energy, moving away from coal and kerosene. Wastewater recycling and reuse, reducing water waste and GHG emissions.

Future Goals:
Continue the push for more renewable energy sources in partnership factories. Introduce energy-monitoring systems to track and further reduce consumption.
